SEE THROUGH THE ILLUSION + Free Worksheet

Why You Still Feel Trapped Even When You Know the Matrix Isn’t Real?

You know the Matrix isn’t real, so why do you still feel trapped? Let’s explore the hidden loops, + grab your free reflection guide.

There’s this strange tension inside me, and maybe inside you too, where I know the Matrix isn’t real, but somehow, I’m ending up living by its rules.

It’s like my mind is awake, but my body still flinches like it’s stuck in the past.
Like I’m holding the map, but walking in circles.
Like I can name the illusion, but part of me still plays along.

You can understand the game and still find yourself playing by its rules.

I am not here to give another lecture. You already know enough. This is about understanding why, even after all the awareness, it still feels like something’s gripping your throat. Or your chest. Or just making you feel like you’re not fully here.

Let’s break it down, human to human.

*KNOWING ISN’T LIVING

You can understand freedom in your mind and still feel like a prisoner.
That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means your body and emotions are still playing catch-up. The nervous system doesn’t care that your soul had an awakening - it’s still wired for survival.
Mine sure was. Still is, sometimes.

Ask yourself:

Where in my life am I acting like I still have to earn love, safety, or rest?

*THE SURVIVAL REFLEX RUNS DEEP

You might not even notice how the “I have to” thoughts sneak in.
I have to keep pushing.
I can’t slow down yet.
If I stop, everything will fall apart.”

Even when you’re doing something meaningful, it starts to feel like a job. Like a duty.
That’s survival conditioning. Matrix code, still running in the background.

Ask yourself:
Who told me I had to suffer to deserve peace? Are they still living in my head?

*THE WORLD IS LOUD, BUT TRUTH IS QUIET

The noise out there is insane. Algorithms. Opinions. Lack-based marketing.
It’s hard to hear your own truth when everyone and everything else is yelling over it.

But your real voice - the one that knows - it’s always been soft.
It doesn’t push. It doesn’t beg.
It just waits.

Ask yourself:
When was the last time I slowed down enough to actually hear myself?

*EVEN PURPOSE CAN BECOME A TRAP

I was dragging this one along for years.
You find your calling - your healing work, your art, your truth - and somehow, you start performing it. Monetizing it. Measuring it.
Suddenly, it feels transactional like your sacred work has to prove something.

Ask yourself:
Am I doing this from devotion… or from fear of being unseen, unheared, unfunded, or unworthy?

*FREEDOM IS A DAILY REBELLION

Freedom isn’t a final destination. It’s a moment-by-moment choice.
To pause. To say no. To listen inwards.
To breathe before reacting.

It’s not a place you arrive at. It’s a way of being you have to remember, again and again.

Ask yourself:
What would freedom look like in this exact moment, right here, in my body?

Here’s what helps when I feel myself slipping back into the loop:

  • Do one thing with no outcome attached.
Just because it brings joy. That’s enough.

  • Let myself be bad at something.
    Curiosity > perfection.

  • Reclaim money as energy.
I ask: How can money flow through me, not control me?

  • Redefine success every damn day.
Today, success = peace. Tomorrow, it might mean laughing at nothing.

YOU ARE NOT FAILING.
YOU’RE JUST PEELING.
LAYER BY LAYER.
AND YES, IT’S UNCOMFORTABLE. BUT IT’S ALSO REAL.

You don’t have to burn your life down to feel free.
You just have to start choosing yourself again - even in the small things.

You're not behind. You're remembering.

Let me know if you're stuck.
Let me know if you're peeling, too.

We’re not alone in this.
